34th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament-2017 Punjab XI beat UCO Bank by 3-0 Air India Mumbai and CAG Delhi 0-0 draw Jalandhar October 27, 2017 Punjab XI register their second victory in the league fixture of 34th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament by beating UCO Bank by 3-0 at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today on Pool A of women section. Now Punjab XI have six points from two outings, their last league match is against Western Railways, that will decide which team will qualify for Finals of Women section. In men section Air India Mumbai and CAG Delhi remains goalless draw in pool A. Punjab XI started well their Rajwinder Kaur scored field goal from the top of the striking circle (1-0). In the 17th minute of the play Reena scored a field goal from the pass of Pooja from left flank (2-0). At half time Punjab XI was leading by 2-0. In the second half Punjab girls displayed defensive game. In the 69th minute of the game Jyoti of Punjab completed the tally (3-0). In men section in Pool A Air India Mumbai and CAG Delhi was goalless in the first half of the play. Both teams display defensive hockey. Both teams wasted many chances to score. At the end of stipulated time both teams were goalless draw. Due to this both teams split one point each.
